Has the slow down hurt?
Boise real estate has slowed down from what it was two years ago, but that may be a blessing in disguise. The pace once again is at a reasonable rate. I believe this protects many buyers from being "priced" out of the market and helps contribute to a more stable and effective economy. Many first time home buyers were being forced to pay to high of a price, which can be hard on a new family or someone just getting out of college. The lower prices allows for more people to be able to purchase a home. Statistics have shown that communities that have a higher percentage of home buyers tends to be better maintained and cared for. This in turn supports everybody in that community's property values. I feel that the overall asthetics will be preserved by having home owners versus investors. . .therefore, benefiting the people who live with in the community.
